Tic-Tac-Toe with Shere Khan the Tiger and Sarabi The Barbary Lioness
Who needs Xs and Os when you can play with tigers, lions and leopards, oh my? The big cats in this version og online Tic-Tac-Toe are Shere Khan, the 800 lb tiger (yess 800 lbs) and Sarabi, the Barbary lioness from Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida.
Sarabi has 14 of the 17 DNA markers of the rare Barbary lion. The Barbari lion has long since been extinct in the wild. across the whole earth there are barely enough of them to begin a breeding program to save this amazing and rare big cat. Sadly, due to politics, country boarders and uncooporativeness on some owners, saving the Barbary lion is not very likely.
Another issue would be there really hasn't been a programmed developed or placement plan for a reintroduction to the wild if the specie could be saved. Sadly, most people in the world today will never have the opportunity to see a Barbary lion. People, wake up.
If we do not start actively working together to save endangered species by saving their wilderness habitats there will very soon be many more species our children and grand-children will never see.
