Mission of This Website

So you have always wanted to own a tiger. Let's take a closer look at what it is like owning an exotic cat as a pet.  You believe that if you raise it right with kindness and training from infancy that it will make a great pet.  Let's take a closer look at that.

Myth Meets Reality

bullet

Is this True? If I get it as a bottle fed baby before its eyes are open it will love me as its mother and will always love me and remain bonded with me. NO, That is FALSE!!

bullet

A wild animal is a wild animal is a wild animal ALWAYS.

bullet

They do NOT remain helpless, cute cuddly babies very long.

bullet

As they grow up their natural wild instincts kick in.

Owning An Exotic Cat

bullet

Exotic cats ARE carnivores.  You can NOT remove the carnivore from the carnivore no matter how you raise it.

Your other pets or your child could and very likely will be mauled, injured, and often even killed by your "pet" exotic cat.

bullet

Exotic cats NEED LOTS of fresh meat for their bones to grow properly.  You can NOT feed them craps and dog food.

bullet

bullet

Exotic cats are great escape artists.  Structures to keep them and your family and neighbors safe are expensive to build and maintain.

bullet

Finding and Affording a vet to care for your exotic is not so easy.  Then IF you find one, you must have special transportation to safely get your exotic pet to and from the vet.

bullet

bullet

Your neighbors will NOT be happy about have a carnivore living next door. They will be afraid (rightfully so) to let their children play with yours.

bullet

bullet

Curious spectators will show up on your property all hours of the day and night, even sneaking in. Sometimes this is to see and sometimes it is to harm the animal.  This creates so many safety hazards and liability issues, and legal nightmares I cannot even begin to list them.

bullet

You cannot 'potty train' or litter train an exotic cat. Tigers and lions do not use litter boxes. They spray literally BUCKET loads or really smelly urine ALL over your home, yard and even you.  IT STINKS!! REALLY STINKS!! Your house and your yard will truly be offensive. The old saying you can smell it a mile away... You got it YOUR place will be the stinky place.
