YouTube Endangered Snow Leopard Video Contest

The main purpose of this Snow Leopard Video contest is quite simply to raise awareness for the struggle to save the Snow Leopard in its wilderness habitat.  The secondary purpose of the contest is to raise awareness for three organizations who are themselves trying to raise awareness for this cause. I will provide you with a few research links to get you started learning about Snow Leopards.  I will provide you with a few Snow Leopard pictures you can use to for this project.   You can find more sounds, research links, pictures and videos as well.  You will go learn about Snow Leopards then turn what you learned into educational or informational slide shows or videos to help teach others what you learned.  Video links will be posted here.  I have started a Group on YouTube for hosting these videos.

What I hope the outcome of this project is:

That more people will make videos promoting The Snow Leopard Trust's official website which will ultimately help them save Snow Leopards in the wild in their natural habitat.  I love what the Snow Leopard trust is doing to accomplish their goals.  Since I can't give them funds, I am hoping to give them the gift of promotion, by way of LOTS of videos on YouTube.  The more people that learn about what the Snow Leopard Trust is doing the better the chances of their success in saving this wonderful big cat in its natural habitat.

Hopefully through this contest and the video entries people will learn more about Snow Leopards and learn more about what unique obstacles have to be bridges to save them in their wilderness habitats.  The Snow Leopard Trust is doing an amazing job, but they need our help to get the word out.

Submission Dates: From March 4th through April 4th 2007.

Judging Dates: April 5th through April 15th 2007.

Prize Awarding / Mailing Date: By May 10th, 2007 (New date)

Criteria for the video entries:

How many Snow Leopard videos can be submitted?

As many as you feel like making.  Make and enter as many videos as you want.

Just remember each entry MUST be about Saving Snow Leopards and their wilderness habitat.  Each video MUST have the two required text screens mentioned below.

IF you use photos or music that we provide you must give proper credits.

AGAIN: Extra consideration will be given to videos that promote the Snow Leopard Trust and the work they do.
